This interesting Burmese material was tested in Thailand and came back identified as Pargasite. As a testimony to how difficult separation can be among Amphibole group minerals, it has subsequently tested and shown to be both Edenite and Fluoro-Richterite.  We typically feel most comfortable with the Richterite id, but the accompanying cert will say Edenite.  For any of these, it is a large and attractive example of this material, nicely cut and with a pleasant color. Despite a hardness of 5-6, Fluoro-Richterite is extremely difficult to facet so gems are few and far between.  This one is considerably better than most, nicely proportionate with just one small veil to be noted.
