A simply huge size for this locale, the color is a deep very slightly greenish yellow-brown and while bright greens are most prized from Bulgaria, they are simply not found in sizes approaching this truly museum grade gem. Entirely clean the cutting is a sight to behold - a true precision job with a superb polish. The stone is dazzling in movement, the visible dispersion and brilliance in full effect. So, why not offer a beautiful and essentially perfect Sphalerite color suite? Comprised of mostly Spanish material, the golden and brown green gems are Bulgarian. Sphalerite is extremely soft and quite delicate so needless to say the primary expense here is the excellent and precision cutting. Simply outstanding and a beautiful reference set.

A truly wild piece of Sphalerite faceted in an equally wild cut. Although these have becomes quite popular, as well as more common, in recent years what is now uncommon is the fine, precision quality of the cut here - great polish and a near adamantine luster. The very distinctive outline features a dramatic bit of red color zoning in the gem itself, giving it an almost eye-like appearance. Sphalerites are dazzling stones with great color and dispersion - particularly when done so well. Absolutely unique.
