A really remarkably fine example of this classic American rarity. Hexagonite is the vivid purple variety of the mineral Tremolite, a notoriously difficult to facet collector's gem. The miniscule deposits around Balmat, New York that produced a few faceted stones have long been mined out. Very clean for the material, fantastic (perfect!) color and a simply amazing full round brilliant. An absolutely top quality example of this great rarity.
