The first time that we have seen this material worked - into an effective cab material no less. The opaque reddish-brown Jasper (chalcedony) is punctuated by well formed crystals of deep blue Apatite. The real attraction here is that the Apatite is near-gem quality and fully translucent; the cab has been cut thin enough that light will pass through these. Lovely aesthetics with the framed outline of the Apatite crystals. Great looking stone.

A really attractive gem from a niche locality - to say the least. This fine round in a pleasant yellow-green is actually cut from Canadian rough - a comment rarely given when talking Apatite. Absolute top-notch cutting and a very good size to appreciate this lovely Canadian gem.

An intriguing one off gem from the area around Shigar. Otherwise entirely clean, the gem contains a veritable nest of Byssolite fibers (typically an amphibole mineral) that swirl and reflect throughout the entire stone. Nicely cut and a fine size to appreciate the effect of the Byssolite. Endlessly fascinating, one of the more interesting inclusion gems we have seen of late.
