A beautiful and exquisite rarity.  Adamite is a zinc mineral that is particularly rare in gem grade; most of the faceted material in the market today comes from Mexico and is typically a light yellow or near colorless material.  Nearly impossible to obtain is this intense blue-green material (actually cupro-Adamite) from the famous mines at Laurion in Greece.  Specimens of this material came out in the 1920's, with very little since.  Just a superb color, this rare example is both attractive and quite distinctive.  The only stone that we have had from this locale in nearly a decade.
