Very rarely encountered now this is a magnificent stone from one of the most famous historic deposits of Rhodochrosite. Long absent from the market, this is a piece stored decades ago, noted even then as of the highest quality. The color is superb and classic - care was taken to remove all of the matrix material so the color of the Rhodochrosite was unmarred. Entirely translucent and free of fractures, this one has everything - color, size and superb quality. A collector’s rarity indeed.
