Few Burmese goods are have been in the market of late, a consequence of the continued instability in the region. We were however happy to see a few of these distinctive, very dichroic, green Apatites from Mogok. Somewhat of a sage green, the color has both yellow and brownish modifiers, which doesn’t sound like much but make for a very appealing and visually interesting stone. The gem is large enough that the pleochroism is quite distinct. Lovely gem - precision cutting and entirely clean.
