This unusual color variety was documented over 20 years ago in Gems & Gemology, so we are happy to have found a lovely stone still in the market. The color is so pleasant - a minty green that doesn’t occur terribly often, especially in some of the rarer gem species. Notably, there were a few very large examples found with the initial discovery (stones over 50 ct) of which at least one has made its way to the National Gem Collection at the Smithsonian. The present stone is a very approachable weight and well saturated for the size, there is absolutely nothing to detract from this one. Bright and clean and such an unusually fine color. With full GIA report as well.
