Interestingly we had just read a report of a similar stone, though in the blues of Aquamarine, in Gems & Gemology. Though it really is a kind of bi-tonal or bi-transparency stone, these are unusual and not well understood occurrences. Both sides are definitely Beryl, even the translucent side keeping the color of fine Golden Beryl. Though the Aqua find was not isolated to a single crystal, so far we have been told that this Golden Beryl has. There were a small number of stones available in Tucson and simply nothing else. This is the absolute highest quality of this find - perfect separation and color and otherwise clean.
