This has been one of the more unique inclusion materials of the last decade; the thin platelets of Covellite reflect a bright pink and so when a stone has the correct orientation you can get a fantastic flash of ‘pink fire’ across the surface of the piece. These are extremely popular, but the availability has largely dried up. Several years ago we did have a thought though - what if we had some of the last remaining rough worked by one of the world’s best known gem artisans? Thus, you have a specially commissioned Munsteiner ‘Pink Fire’; a gorgeous and large stone with a deceptively simple and well executed design and a perfectly positioned flash. Gorgeous work with a stellar polish and full certificate from Atelier Munsteiner. What is more, a large section of the reverse has been left with the intact crystal surface, so that texture shows through to the crown - offset by the signature ‘bubble’ carved near the point. This one was safely set aside a few years back, before Tom’s passing.
