This one was a surprise! We so rarely see these intensely colored, almost ‘highlighter’ yellow Chrysoberyls from Sri Lanka that when we saw this one we thought surely it was from Orissa, India. It was a pleasant surprise to see the unassailable locality as Nivitigala, Sri Lanka - a locale we have been buying some fine Sapphire from. Gorgeous color aside, the cutting is nicely done and the gem is loupe clean. Great size as well, a superb Chrysoberyl indeed.
