We have always liked the iridescent Andradite Garnet that is found in a few spots worldwide - Japan, Mexico and New Mexico to name a few. These are highly individual stones (a complex growth pattern produces the very-close-to-the surface effect) and we don’t often have matched pairs. It’s a rare and valued material, so pairs are not the priority - in fact, most stones tend to be freeform in order to follow as much color as possible. A really lovely, easily used pair and quite rare as such.
