A remarkable gem that is as beautiful in-hand as it is fascinating. In standard lighting, the gem is light pink and, with Calcite’s optical properties it is very dispersive and dazzling. Entirely clean and large, the cutting and polish have been done by an AGTA award winner and it shows - simply fantastic. With shortwave UV the gem takes on an intense blue-white color that is actually a phosphoresence - that is, it continues to glow this color for about 10 seconds after the light source is removed. A dramatic effect indeed. A gem treasure!
