Since this material was first documented over a decade ago (See Gems & Gemology Spring 2016), we have been keeping our eyes open for particularly nice examples. And we have found a few nice ones - the included platelets are much more particular in this material vs. Sunstone Feldspar as they tend not to be orientated to give the best effect. The few that we have had have been on the smaller size, so it is a pleasure to have a large example with a great display of aventurescence. Most of these stones have too little or too much of the reflective platelets to be impressive, this one has a lot, but they are just right to initiate a broad flash across the table. The bodycolor of these is nice as well, it is heavily influenced by the hematite platelets. Superb size.
