Wulfenite is a lead mineral that has exceedingly high optical properties so, if done correctly, faceted gems are capable of dazzling brilliance and impressive dispersion. First among Wulfenites in bodycolor are the superb gems from the Red Cloud Mine. As you may suspect these gems are capable of the reddest color of the species - other localities produce oranges, yellows and pale brown stones. A lovely 1+ carat example, we never see more than one or two of these per year. Great luster and brilliance on this fantastic bodycolor. Quite clean as well - simply a lovely Arizona example.
