Idaho star Garnets are quite well known and have been popular for years as the asterism can be quite strong. 4-ray stars are much more common, as they are from other finds worldwide, and the 6-ray gems are particularly prized. This fine, larger stone has a very defined 6-ray star set against the classic very dark purple bodycolor. Superb size and a great cut and polish - with zero extra weight - round out what is among the best of these we have seen. A great US stone.
