Pezzottaite is a difficult material - stones of top color tend to be quite included, and those that are (relatively!) clean tend to be much paler. This example has just about the best balance that you can hope for. Firstly, the stone is certainly in the upper echelon for clarity with very few high-relief inclusions. And secondly, the color is excellent; quite saturated with distinct and visible pleochroism. Very bright and simply a great example of a fine 1 carat gem in a species that is largely gone from the market now. Much finer than we normally see.
