Recently profiled in The Journal of Gemmology this unusual and fine Jade from Italy is quite appealing. The level of translucency is quite good and the color is superb - the result of Chromium as you may guess. Artisanal is perhaps the best word to describe the mining for this material in Italy, it is one of the scarcest Jades on the market. Gorgeous stone.
