A very rare species, this is in fact the first Pirssonite that we have offered. The mineral is an evaporative carbonate which means that it not only has a Moh’s hardness of just 3 but it has the added distinction of being water soluble! As you might imagine, a good polish is difficult and it is surprising just how nice this one looks. This is from a relatively recent run of the material from Russia. Great species rarity!
