Something quite unheard of in matched pairs. The classic locality for this rare variety of gem quality Sphene is in Baja California, but those stones were heavily included at best. But what a color! It is a unique, intense 'chrome' green that is unlike the usual brown or yellow green from elsewhere. The limited Russian gems we have seen in the last decade have been magnificent - a Tsavorite like color indeed. It is difficult to source even the smallest of stones, so you can imagine how nice it was to find two clean gems that matched when we saw a few examples recently. Incredible really, given the rarity and value that are placed on these. You will certainly have one of the few, if not the only pair!
