4.30 ct. Tanzanian Moonstone

When sending out our last parcel for cutting we decided to through in (not literally!) a piece of Tanzanian Moonstone rough that had been intended for life as a cabochon.  Why not?  Well, the stone is freshly back and turned out exceptionally well.  The silvery-white bodycolor is complimented by the bright, broad blue flash that is characteristic of this Tanzanian material.  What is more, the orientation is just right; turn the stone just a few degrees off-center and there is the flash, no need to turn the gem to a strong angle or upside down to see it!  Nice size and a popular shape as well.
