Rutile is not the rarest of mineral inclusions in Quartz, but it is quite capable of being very dramatic.  The extremely aesthetic pattern it creates in this stone is just such an example.  A stone of Tanzanian origin, this attractive gem was certainly cut to feature the fine bands of Rutile, resulting in a stone with a very geometric feel.  The Rutile itself is extremely reflective and will catch the light and give a great bronze colored flash.  A good size for use in a striking piece of jewelry.
