1.42 ct. Pezzottaite

Pezzottaite is a difficult material - stones of top color tend to be quite included, and those that are (relatively!) clean tend to be much paler.  We were quite pleased to have recently found this gem out of some original find stock - it is a great balance between relative clarity and and a saturated and highly pleochroic orangy-pink color.  There has literally been no additional finds of this material in several years now - it is looking more and more to have been a one-off find.  Fine example.
