1.10 ct. Chinese Rhodochrosite

One of the newest finds that debuted at the Tucson shows this year - Chinese gem grade Rhodochrosite.  This material is visually so similar to Colorado Rhodochrosite that it can be impossible to differentiate the two.  Since the closure of the Sweet Home Mine several years ago the availability of these gems had been steadily decreasing.  It appears that similar material will be making it into the market, at least in the short term.  Very exciting find.
