1.59 ct. Color Change Hackmanite
We were lucky enough to aquire a small amount of facet grade material from the recent find in Afghanistan. Not all of the material exhibits the color change (technically tenebrescence) that Hackmanite is famous for, this gem is one of the best examples. Exposure to UV light will cause the colorless gem to change to a light lavender shade which will then in turn fade back to colorless in natural light. Color change Hackmanites are usually extremely expensive, this is an affordable example. You can learn more about Hackmanite in our profiled gem section. $325 / carat - $516.75 total |
