14.96 ct. New Mexico Barite

Another fine Barite, this time from a relatively unknown U.S. deposit.  The superb custom cutting is exceptionally well done and the stone is flashy and bright - dazzling in its almost complete lack of color.  There is actually a faint bodycolor present, highly unusual for this locale as most are completely colorless.  Barite is not at all easy to cut and polish and this one is a true tour de force.  A superb, scarce and museum quality U.S. gem.
