0.71 ct. Parisite
Parisite is a rare earth mineral which occurs in facet grade only at the famed Emerald mine at Muzo in Colombia. The name derives from a 19th century owner of the mine, J. J. Paris. The distinctive crystals found there are usually quite small and then may have only a small area at one end which is gemmy. Most faceted examples are quite small and this gem is quite a respectable size. Despite some inclusions, it is bright and has a very pleasant color. Excellent example. $285 total |
