26.57 ct. TW Hackmanite Cabochon Pair

A wild example of the what the gem world has to offer if you just look beyond standard commercial goods.  A seemingly benign pair of triangular cabochons transformed into mottled purple chaos with only the addition of a little sunlight.  The shortwave UV light will 'charge' the Hackmanite veins in the cabs and dramatically alter their color.  Take the stones out of the light and they will slowly fade back to the color of the photo on the left.  An infinitely repeatable and fantastic change.  Quite uncommon to find pairs of these - they are simply calling out for use in a unique piece of jewelry.  Nicley polished and a completely flat base.
