0.39 ct. Colemanite

Colemanite is a rare borate mineral that is actually named for the onetime owner of the Harmony Borax Mine near Death Valley, California.   Gems cut from this material are always uncommon and we were particularly pleased to see such a precision cut example.  Exceptionally bright, this gem is treated a bit unfairly by the photo - the inclusions are much less visible to the naked eye.  Rare and attractive.
