Burmese Hackmanite is somewhat unique in the fact the color change can be induced by sunlight - most tenebrescent gems require a UV lamp.  So, all you have to do is take this piece outside and direct sunlight will cause the pink/purple change in a few seconds as you watch.  It is actually quite dramatic and makes for not only a lovely stone, but a super conversation piece.  The gem will gradually fade back to light pink over the course of a few hours, then just start over again - you can also do this in a few minutes with a small LED flashlight.  The change is 100% repeatable.  Great stone for those who love phenomenal stones.
