0.82 ct. Canadian Hackmanite

Hackmanite from this original locality for gem grade stones are now quite rare in the marketplace.  For their combination of clarity and color change they are very hard to beat.  Upon exposure to short-wave UV light, the colorless gem changes to a very pleasant purple-pink.  The stone then fades back to colorless and the change is repeatable.  A classic and now even rarer.
