Tourmaline as an inclusion in Quartz is not at all uncommon.  What is particularly rare though is when that Tourmaline is gem grade itself, let alone a pleasant pink shade.  This very aesthetic gem is colorless Quartz with a single, fairly large, gemmy pink Tourmaline crystal transecting the middle of the stone.  Really only a handful of these come out each year, and few that have such a well placed Tourmaline.  Great looking stone and well sized for a unique piece of jewelry.
